Post Office garden, Terminal Warehouse, Chelsea lofts repossessed, dresses, skies

The usual updates linked below.  The organizer(s) behind this endeavor will be out of office next week and attempting to learn to surf, by which we likely mean just repeatedly falling into the ocean as an overly tanned Lachlan or Callum or something tells us we’re doing something wrong with our shoulders.  Is it the feet or the shoulders, Lachlan?

What I’m trying to say is we’ll skip the updates next week; expect us to pick this back up upon return but don’t expect us to return with any new skills.  Life, probably, is only a poem when you’re looking back on it or telling somebody about it.  On the day-to-day it’s a bit more abstract expressionism.  Some days you just fall in the water a few times, go back to your hotel, and check your email.  The art probably isn’t in the story you grafted onto it all afterward but in the understanding that the rest of us are out here just falling in the water too.

But what do we know, other than that there’s only a few weeks of summer left? The updates:

Massive rooftop garden on top of the Post Office building

“The Mallory” opening at Terminal Warehouse (on 11th Avenue) this fall

Brick loft building across from Ava High Line (on 28th St) repossessed by JPMorgan

It’s not a dress; it’s a different sky

Mamdani tax thing hits our neighborhood

Summer rooftop series: Miru right above City Winery is pretty dreamy
