You might call it the most expensive current apartment listing in the West Chelsea/Hudson Yards area, and you would be right, but we might call it a steal and practically a giveaway at that price, and we would also be right. ZZ’s Club in Hudson Yards is available to you for a small $20k initiation fee (and $10k/year)

Some days I think we really need to raise the dues of this block association, which currently sit at $0/year. At ZZ’s Club, a private members-only club at 35 Hudson Yards (same building as Equinox and Kendall Roy’s swanky apartment), for an easy $20k initiation fee and then just $10k/year, you get the privilege of being able to tell other people that you belong to ZZ’s Club AND book a reservation at two restaurants (called ZZ’s and Carbone) that the rest of us can’t find on OpenTable.

Exclusivity is the point here, and so even your paper won’t get you in; you have to know a guy, and that guy had to know a guy, and probably so forth. Renaissance man’s review of wedding at block arena: “It was a crazy night”

Those who have stuck with us throughout the summer know that we have done Pulitzer Prize-level reporting on the nuptials which took place a few weeks ago at the world’s most famous wedding venue, Madison Square Garden. Well the reviews are now in from the bridegroom, a true man of letters who our sources assure us read his own vows: “It was a crazy night, it was a full of a lot celebration, but it’s football baby.”

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce get married at Penn Station

Weddings are almost by definition a little irrational, but this weekend, at the block’s most famous arena, America’s gym teacher and America’s English teacher (credit to T. Swift for that line) showed the block that there are levels to this shit. In my head, the way this all came about is that Travis Kelce floated getting married at MSG as a joke—but one he was secretly serious about given an unyielding thirst for attention—to T. Swift. T. Swift originally thought it was the dumbest idea she ever heard, which is secretly her reaction to nearly everything Travis Kelce says, but then overthought her way into coming around to it. Trust your instincts Taylor; we have found that if you’re struggling mightily with any decision, the right answer is probably no.

What we’re trying to say is that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce got married this weekend in the same place where the Knicks won the NBA Finals a few weeks ago (https://www.highline28.com/posts/hand-of-god) and those two guys in the picture are about to box. I am (pretty) sure the most expensive apartment around our block is Kendall Roy’s penthouse apartment in Succession

A bit of block history for the Succession (and swanky apartment) fans. Succession season 3 was filmed (in part) 5 years ago on our block, and if you click on that link above and wait for the gallery to scroll to the right, you’ll see a picture of Jeremy Strong (who plays Kendall Roy) on the block in the exact green shirt and chain in the picture shown here (we spotted him literally right after the shooting of Kendall’s birthday party episode). Funny. Anyway, Kendall Roy’s apartment in the show is the most expensive apartment near our block—the penthouse, meaning the 90th floor apartment, at 35 Hudson Yards. Sold a few years ago for $35 million. You missed your shot again.

Taylor Swift and America’s doofus getting married at block arena

If what you have in mind for a wedding is a small, intimate, casual affair with close family and friends, consider Madison Square Garden. NYPost breaks the story‍ (our investigative team broke it second) on the venue selection for T. Swift/Kelce’s wedding, which is scheduled for the July 4th weekend. Unfortunately you can’t just buy tickets to this event on the MSG website, though you have to think the thought at least crossed Travis Kelce’s mind. This really has LeBron “Decision” vibes but—…happy to be hosting these nuptials on our block.

Bad Bunny penthouse sold on our block for a cool $15m

Jardim, which is the condo building on 28th between 10th & 11th that owns the tunnel to another dimension, sold off its penthouse a few years ago for a cool $15 million. You can see a walk-through of the apartment with one of those old-money real estate guys in a suit on YouTube. Bad Bunny, our former neighbor and founding member of this block association, used to rent the place for $150k/month. You missed your shot.
